December 18th, 6pm MDT (Denver)

In this workshop, Jimmy will be discussing the possibilities of form and structure in novel and memoir, the qualities of style, and the practical  use of literary devices. He will be reading from numerous works and provide writing exercises that participants can take with them  when the workshop ends. There will be plenty of time for a Q & A session, too!

Facilitator Jimmy Santiago Baca is an award-winning American poet and writer of Chicano descent. While serving a five-year sentence in a maximum security prison, he learned to read and began to turn his life around, eventually emerging as a prolific artist of the spoken and written word.
