collective.aporia believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among our teammates and throughout our collective is critical to our success as a global organization. It is our responsibility and passion to continuously learn, grow, fail, and learn some more in our DEI journey.

- Diversifying the pool of workshop facilitators.
- Monthly in-house DEI trainings.
- Requesting DEI statements from all workshop facilitators.
- Creating the Work Exchange Initiative.
- Creating the Community Scholarship.
- Creating and adding an EEO statement to our Work Exchange Initiative.
Long term DEI Goals:
- Develop a mentorship initiative to oversee and hold collective.aporia accountable to DEI standards.
- Collaborating with international collectives working to uplift diverse communities
- Diversifying the pool of workshop facilitators to make sure that at least 60% are artists from underrepresented populations, especially BIPOC, LGBTQIA2+, and/or differently-abled artists.
- Making a monthly donation to a charity supporting diverse communities.
- Yearly DEI training from an outside coach or organization.
- Integrating DEI accountability into all aspects of the organization.
